There was once a time when I was a voracious reader and a prolific writer. A couple of my poems were published in a few magazines. I confess they were underground magazines, and some of my female friends in college had a wider circulation; nevertheless, it made me happy. I graduated in Computer Engineering. Being as competitive as I am, over the next 10 years I read and programmed, programmed and programmed, and read some more. Everything I read had a picture of computer on the covers. I wanted to be one of the best (this is not the last you have heard of it). I am one of the best in what I do, but I have forgotten the art of writing. Now my sentences are fragmented, my modifiers dangle, my pronouns are orphans, and my subjects and verbs are in a lover's tiff and in an utter disagreement. So pardon my solecisms, even when they stare out at you like single eye of a Cyclops, for it may disappoint you. I have been dragging my contrite self to Borders every night for a few hours. You will find me lounging in the English Grammar section with a cup of Border's coffee, which, by the way, is as rewarding as the cold piss. So much I have to re-learn.

I have a B.S. in Computer Engineering, one in Microbiology, and another one in Biochemistry.

I live a simple life and have much simpler tastes. I am more comfortable in suits and ties (paradox?). I have not owned even one pair of jeans in last 5 years, and I love Khakis. They are more comfortable.

BDSM has been sine quo non of my life for the last 15 years and has been my lifestyle.

My favorite colours are black and white, and sometimes I tend to see life in them too. Blue and a particular shade of green are two of my other favorite colours. I still write the word colour with an u in it.

Football and Baseball are those sports for which I will not scurry home. If someone else is watching, I'll tell her to scoot over and flop beside her. I love soccer and follow Basketball diligently (Bulls,oh the pain).

I love dining out. I love ethnic food: Thai, Chinese, Indian Pakistani, and Mexican. Italian is too bland for me. I despise Sushi; where I come from, we call it a bait.

I smoke, and the strongest stimulant I indulge in is coffee and chai. Chai itself means tea, so if use chai tea, you are being reduntant. It is like saying "total annhilation" or "perfect square."

I love Musicals. Aida has been my favorite. I love going to movies. I like it more when I am the only one in the theater. My contentment is complete when they have a fresh lot of popcorn going in the machine.

I love candies and everything sweet.

I have never been married and have no children. I was close to getting married a couple of times. I have been passionately, madly, deeply in love --- deliriously in love three times. That is the only way I know to love. They were all long relationships, and my love was reciprocated in the same way. Then there was another one which was as passionate and deep but unrequited. The other years were punctuated by brief romances, loves, and companionships. I have always loved women, and they tend to love me. There always has been one with me. Let this not paint a picture of a wanton life. I have never made love to a woman that I did not love.

I am the oldest of the four siblings. My brother, who is a doctor in England, happily married and all that, is next. Then there is my sister who is also a doctor and married. Then comes the youngest one - the most loving and the most bitchy one. She is a teacher in a school and married the guy last year that she has been in love for 10 years. My father still gives me his icy, pitying, incredulous, sneering stare that he has kept for those who are not doctors in the family. My mother knows all the eligible girls in the city and tells me I should get married to one of them.
